TECHNICAL DETAILS
"Isiuy" database
It is a base that deals on cited works of authorship from Uruguayan zoologists, botanists and paleontologists, either made by Uruguayan authors on Zoology, Botany and Paleontology of the Uruguayan media. SIBUR standard was modified for this proposal, added fields to enter appointments and relevant recovery mode in the inverted file and display format. The idea is that the user could know how many times the work of a particular author was cited by others, the same will happen with the citation date.
The first job is to enter folders with bibliography, owned by biologist Enrique Gonzalez, as well as a prove as a first step.
Thesaurus about Uruguayan biota
The thesaurus was made from valuable support and guidance from biologists Andrew Rinderknetch (who holds a Masters in Paleontology) and Sebastian Serra. It is structured as follows:
Filo (Phylum)
class
order
family
species
No scientific name
When referring to "species" is considered the term currently employed and the terms no longer employed, because it happens that the same animal may be known by different names and original (eg in 1902), called in a way and at present another term. Thus we considerer this could be a tool that we hope will be useful to biologists track so that achieve both literature on this species is built.
