WORK DONE

 

ALL WORK AIMS TO A CENTRAL OBJECTIVE, WHICH IS TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF USERS AT YEAR 2017. 

That task is marked in red, is the target of all tasks carried out in the quadrennium 2013-2016

 

YEAR 2012

 

They were just two months. We planned to roughly what would be done in the future. The software that is usually employed in any library (Winisis) was installed. Work routines were written, then it was revised what work previously existing as well as catalogs and manuals which automated.       Standards were established for technical controls of journals in the collection of ground floor were established.  There was about 103.000 copies of journals to enter in the cardex catalogue and collate copy in case some missing, de las cuales. of which 550 titles were entered by the librarian Gallarreta and Miss Sexenián  It began to enter daily analytical magazine, after finding an analytical sample of 100 randomly on the shelf was 75% of magazines, with a standard 40 cards per day. We began a thesaurus about Zoology or Uruguay (the technical name is biota) for theming analytical and books in the future. And a final report that brief time, after which the work was planned to perform in 2013 was presented.

 

YEAR 2013

 

The tasks envisaged in the report end of 2012 for 2013 were met in full. These were: 1) enter daily analytical magazine with established standards (40 records per day), 2) continue the thesaurus (this part does not already have standards because it includes a lot of creativity), 3) was amended freeware Winisis , the obsolescence of the leaflets into black boxes was revised , 4) the data bases done in Access software were exported to software based Winisis, were the books entered by librarian Irene Gallarreta and leaflets entered by the official Lilián Sandi 5) entering current journal stocks and new  titles of journals in the Access data base 6) At the end of the year, again a report which states that the targets set were met in the previous annual report and new goals for the year 2014 were established appeared.

 

YEAR 2014

 

In 2014 the work scheduled to be completed consisted of: 1) culminate with the daily income of analytical of journals (8718 analytical), 2) performing a Gantt chart for the five years from 2013 to 2017, 3) once the completed the data base of analitical, was done quality correction of this data base, 4) enter daily stocks of  journal published before 2000 year (standard 53 records per day), 6) inventories of new magazines were entered, and new journal titles in the Access database that periodically arrive (234 different titles), 7) continued the Uruguayan thesaurus biota, 8) it began collating the books data base entered by Gallareta 

 

It did not meet the goal of having all books entered by Gallarreta because the standard was not measured, however are 2,386 books and no breathing space which will conclude this work in the first months of 2015. build a database of readers with their personal data, degrees earned and emails.

 

2015

 

It foresees 2015 as the Gantt chart: 1) Continue income stocks from previous magazines to año2000, expected at the latest will be completed in September 2015 (it ended June 30), 2) Once the entry of these stocks finished the missing will be collated (with correction in the Access database and list of missing included). There are about 12700 journals cardboard sheets arranged in a wooden file drawers 21, representing about 103,000 copies of magazines of 6,700 titles calculated a priori. It will proceed to print these stocks and performing collation downstairs to check for missing. There is already a standard on how much lead, so this comparison is expected to be completed in May 2016 3) continue the thesaurus Uruguayan biota, 4) Enter usual stocks of magazines a year after 2005 5 ) it is expected to make a loan software course (Koha, Aleph, PMB). Already took a course ABCD software, which promotes UNESCO, 6) To be completed with the reader base (zoologists, botanists, agronomists specialized in Botany, paleontologists), 7) inventories of the magazines were down the tank floor New ranging from 2000 to 2005,

 

YEAR 2016

 

So Gantt chart in hand, it can be provided without fear of error that 2016 will comply with the following goals:

 

1) Completing the comparison with past magazine for 2000

 

2) Make analytical magazine Communications Museum of Natural History in Montevideo (botanical, zoological, etc.) that are not on the basis of analytical

 

3) Continue with a base of national bibliography, even rhythm preset standards

 

4) Enter usual stocks of magazines

 

5) will be continued with the thesaurus of Uruguayan biota

 

6) Convert to Winisis, if required, the base stock of magazines (new and old now collated)

 

7) Once you have the base INVEN books (2,386 in total), the base serial journals (with approximately 6700 titles corresponding to 103,000 copies) and the base of analytical journal, also becomes everything Winisis of so as to have everything in the same format

 

8) The director Javier González may establish an agreement with Seciu, for example, already done conversed, for which the Commission advise the DiCYT on the possibility of putting the bases with a search engine on the Internet.

YEAR 2017
